Starting October 1st, 2026 ARD radio livestreams will no longer be available outside Germany. With this adjustment, ARD is responding to copyright case law concerning the integration and public retransmissions of radio livestreams via third-party services. Livestreams will remain available via ARD’s own services outside Germany (provided that there are no legal reasons to the contrary). Listeners can
access them via the “ARD Sounds” app and “ardsounds.de”.
